Upcoming Events & Away Dates August 2023

Happy Summer everyone!

We’ve been having a blast with boarding and kitty-sitting this season; thank you for having us watch all your four-legged family while summer vacations and away trips are in progress! We’re always happy to host and hang out with all our canine and feline pals.

Now Accepting New Walk Clients

A few things you may have noticed as the days grow longer and hotter; we have reopened our service requests for pee break, half hour and full hour walks! For a short while we had our hands full (of leashes), but some spots have opened up in our availability and we are now able to accommodate a few more paws in the pack.

If you are looking for pee breaks or full walks, and you have a dog-friendly pup who may enjoy the benefits of some weekly or evening excursions feel free to reach out to us via the contact tab on our website. We will get back to you as soon as possible!

Event Reschedule – Nail Spaw, Pool Pawty, and Pawrent Mixer

Our ill-fated June nail spaw and pool pawty has been rescheduled for AUGUST 12, 2023; Pawsitive Pet pawrents (and others!) are welcome to visit us 12PM-4PM on Saturday, August 12 for nail trim clinic, puppy cool down zone, treats and donation tables, as well as our combined pawrent mixer and free summer photos! Please text Kris for address or message us via the contact tab on our website; pet parents are welcome regardless of nail spa sign up!

Come get some summer pictures, meet other Pawsitive Petcare pups and enjoy some fun in the sun (with plenty of water breaks!), peruse our small item-sale for local rescues, and meet our nail spa pet experts, Carmen & Shannie!

New Pawsitive Walker & Sitter! Welcome Stefanie

This month we are excited to welcome Stefanie into the Pawsitive Petcare team!

Stef will be joining us as walk and kitty sitting coverage for Kris and Dan away dates and sick days. Stef has experience with dogs of all sizes and ages as well as cats, and has experience as a pet product specialist! We hope you get a chance to meet Stef in the coming weeks as we continue training for our next away dates. It’s our hope that with a stronger on-call team, we can continue to offer great service even in our absence, and cut back on any emergency stops to service due to illness, etc!

Dan and Kris are away AUGUST 1-6, 2023

Speaking of upcoming away dates, our final summer away dates will be August 1st to August 6th as Dan and I head up to Manitoulin to see my northern family; during this time, we are happy to accommodate walk schedules as best as possible. Please feel free to reach out if you require coverage during this time, and we will do our very best to make sure that your walks are accommodated! * August 1-6 weekdays run Tuesday through Friday. We are available Monday, July 31st *

Continued Summer Safety

As the hot days roll on, you may notice walks are still shortened from 60min to 30min, and in some cases, from 30min to 15min. We try our best to keep our dogs moving, but health and safety always come first – on hotter days, walks will continue to be shortened likely through the first or second week of September. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at any time!

THANK YOU as always to our pet parents who have joined us this year; we are so grateful for every single paw in the pack, and look forward to each morning full of walks, pets, treats, purrs, play, and lately, sunshine! We look forward to seeing you this August 12th at the Puppy Pool Pawty & Nail Spa (this will be a rain or shine event, as our nail spa area remains covered).
